What kind of photographer are you?
I am a natural light lifestyle photographer. I love capturing genuine moments, rather than forced smiles, and consider portraits to be works of art. This is an investment that you and your loved ones will treasure for years to come. My goal is never to make you look perfect, rather it is to capture who you are at this moment.
Where will my session be held?
I shoot on location all over Lake & McHenry Counties. When I look for portrait settings I consider many things, including sunlight, texture, and scenery. I have several beautiful locations to offer.
How long will my session be?
Typically, my sessions last about 30-45 minutes (sometimes more, sometimes less). I move pretty fast and take a lot of photos. I always prefer to shoot at sunset for the best light. Sunlight during the day is very harsh for portraits, and with sunset we get that warm, gentle, glowy light.
What will my session be like?
I want you to relax and have fun during your session! I will be posing you and explaining exactly what I want you to do. We will be moving around a lot, jumping, spinning, and sitting on blankets (or sometimes the ground). It’s going to feel a little awkward at first – that’s normal! Your only job is to try to relax and be present. Together we are capturing a fleeting moment in time.
What happens if the weather is bad?
The only reason I ever reschedule is if the forecast is showing a strong chance of rain at the time of your session. Rain before or after is not a reason to cancel. I will reach out to you several hours before your session if we need to reschedule.
What type of photo format will I receive after my session?
You will receive high-quality fully edited jpeg digital images delivered via link, along with a release. You will also have the option to purchase additional digital images or prints.
